The Catchmore Range of “X-Line” design fishing rods
The X-Line design is a construction method applied to strengthen rods. It incorporates interweaving low resin high-modulus carbon in an X-shaped pattern that spirals from the base to the tip of the rod. Unlike standard reinforcing designs the X-Line technology used in our rods traverses the entire length of the rod which ensures a uniform distribution of stress and strain gradient throughout the rod length. Rods in our range that feature the X-Line technology are clearly identified in the product description as well as the visible X banding on the rod.
Suitable for experienced fishermen for surf or shore fishing, this rod is reinforced with 98% High Modulus Carbon and is fully interwoven from tip to base with an X-Line design for enhanced structural integrity. Spanning an impressive 5.4 meters this rod extends your casting range allowing for an increased fishing radius.

Designed for surf and shore fishing, this 5.4 meter rod boasts high elasticity combined with a strong tip arch for optimal performance. Similar to its counterpart the Surf 5400R, the Foreshore is constructed with 98% High Modulus Carbon and strengthened with the X-Line design. At 530g this lightweight design allows you to fish for longer while the rod’s high sensitivity ensures a high catch ratio.
